January—the month of newfound motivation and gym resolutions! Ever set ambitious goals, only to find yourself slipping back into old habits? We get it! Let's shift our focus to achievable, daily victories. Break down big goals into smaller, more manageable steps. For instance, commit to just starting with 20 minutes of daily movement. Over the course of this month, we’ve put together different types of movement you can incorporate into your daily routines. Remember, action breeds motivation!

 

🏋️‍♀️ Week 1: Cardio!

Aerobic exercises has countless benefits including lowering blood pressure, regulate blood sugar, improve sleep, weight management, mood boost and much more. Zone 2 cardio provides an ideal starting point for your fitness journey. Think of it as any cardio activity you can comfortably do while having a conversation. Discovering a cardio routine you enjoy is crucial! Here are some ideas to get you started:

 

  • Running or jogging (try the Nike Run Club for free guided runs!)

  • Cycling

  • Rowing

  • Swimming

  • HIIT workout classes

  • Incline walks (catch up on your favorite Netflix series on the treadmill)
