Anyone else having a hard time adjusting to being quarantined? I don't know about you but I've completely lost track of time. It's now week seven and I cannot believe how much time has flown by (mostly binge-watching my favorite shows).
There have been so many times I've said, "If I had more time I would do it." or "I wish I was home more often so I can...". Well, now is the perfect opportunity to do all the stuff you've wanted to do if you had more time!
Here are a few things that I've been doing to help me feel accomplished and sane in this house.
+ Finding a relaxing hobby. I love deep cleaning, re-purposing space, and reorganizing different parts of my house. There's nothing better than clearing out some clutter and a clean space.
+ Connecting with friends & family. Talking to someone always makes me feel better. I try to connect with someone over Face Time a few days a week.
+ Baking (not banana bread). What is it about quarantine that has everyone baking banana bread? Over the weekend I made this Earl Grey Yogurt Cake and it's possibly my favorite thing I've baked in the past 6 weeks. Try it out!
+ Exercise. Any type of movement helps me feel better. Yoga has really helped me with being more mindful and patient with myself. My dogs love being taken out on more walks!
+ Writing/journaling. Practicing gratitude has shifted my mindset in a positive way. Especially during this difficult time, it's important to remind ourselves of what we're grateful for. I write this in my calendar/agenda each day. Incorporating this into my morning routine has made it so much easier to keep up with.
What are some things to help you feel sane during this pandemic?
